Let's say you are playing a 3-5-2.

If you assign a winger to play "towards middle" is their any penalty other than losing some attack and defense on his side?

Just curious because you already have a player assigned to "extra IM" and now you are making a winger "towards middle" as well.

No. You can play both wingers "Towards Middle" and it wouldn't matter. As long as you don't put another player as "Extra IM", you will be fine.

Players with a tactical order like offensive, defensive, TW, or TM, are still considered to be in their original position. You can only get in trouble with players given a repositioning order, like extra CD, extra IM, or extra forward.
