I have a GK that is worth $575,000, is excellent in keeping and is 18.

I am also $290,000 in the hole. Should I sell?

I have won all of my league matches so far. Is it more important to keep my excellent 18 yr old GK so I can keep winning?

Thanks

if you are loosing money on a bi-weekly basis, then yes, i would sell him since you are a sinking ship at that point. but if you are gaining money bi-weekly, keep him. definately keep him if you train gk's.

you can also do some keeper youth pulls. hope for a solid one. then sell the excellent one and use the solid as your new gk starter. there isnt a huge difference between a solid keeper and an excellent one. especially at the div vi level. a solid one should do you just fine. (your signature is out of date by the way)

Thanks (changed sig).

I have not been investing anything in my youth. Would I still get a good GK from my youth with $0 investment?

Is there a way that I see if my GK is gaining value everyweek? Some kind of history of player worth?

Only if you keep track of it, or you use a program like HAM to follow his value.

You're probably not going to get much out of your youth squad unless you pay...you might want to make sure you're financially solvent before you bump it up though. At the point you're at (~-300,000), $20k can be a lot.

What are you training?

If the answer isn't keeper then you should sell this guy immediately. You can get an older excellent with experience for the same amount you'd sell this guy for.

I am training 100% in GK, 8 GK specialists.

I noticed that you can see what a player will be worth next season. Its double what it is now.

I think I will wait.
Is it possible I will become insolvent?

do you make a profit every two weeks (i.e. one week without a home game and one week with one)?

i would say that it also depends on what level your other goalkeeper is at? i'm in div.VI as well and i have a passable gk that does fine for me. if u have another goalkeeper that is passable or solid i would say to sell him, get out of debt and use the profit to invest in your YS and/or buy another trainee, or starting gk

my backup GK is inadequate. I'm going to start using him in my friendlies but thats it.

i'd sell him after his next pop if you really want to get out of debt... I won in VI with an inad gk for half the year and passable the other half.

If you're making a modest two-week profit, you don't have to sell immediately. You'll make a lot more selling a keeper at formidable than you would at excellent, so you're probably better to wait until the next pop.
