Never let other people access your team
In these vacation times we have had an increasing ammount of users being dealt with by our GM:s for letting friends take care of their team during holiday etc. Several of these users have been unaware of that this is prohibited, or so they claim anyway.

Remember that it is not allowed to let someone else log on to your team!

Also please note that it is your responsibility to read and learn the rules. It is never a valid defence to claim you had no knowledge of the rules.

I'm surprised this didn't show up here already. :D

Why is this a big deal?

because GM's are tired of answering emails like "I left my friend in charge of my team and he fired all my good players. Give me them back!"

I'm tired of taking over teams and firing their best players. I'm glad they're finally implementing the rule.

How can they tell if a friend is accessing it? IPs?

they cant unless the player tells them. i actually have seen people post they are going on vacation and so and so is controlling their team in the meantime.

ip's isnt valid because i log into my team from up to 3-4 different machines daily. my work computer, my home computer, my wifes computer, and my cell phone.

Thats exactly what I was thinking and the same reason why I was confused as to how they knew. I guess it never occured to me that people would just post it lol.

here is a press release in one of my old divisions without the team name for his own "safety"...

Owner/Gm to take personal leave
(removed name of team) Owner/GM (removed GM's name) will be taking temporary leave from the club starting Saturday morning to spend time with his family. Over the course of 5 days; Saturday through Wednseday, full responsiblity will be given to club manager (removed team name of team that will have control).

"I trust he will make the right calls while I am gone," said (removed GM's name), "I am confident I won't be disappointed when I come back."

The Owner/GM will miss an important league home game and the (removed team name) first match in the NKOTB Fed Cup

my friend are i were discussing this, and we came up with this: this whole game is supposed to be about community and building friends throughout hattrick. what better way to do this than letting your buddy manage your team for a couple damn days while you go on vacation. us HT addicts know our teams need constant supervision!

suck it gm's!

suck it gm's!So just don't tell anyone about it. It's not like there are mobs of people with torches looking for someone scheduling friendlies for a friend. And even if there were, it'd be impossible to know someone else was logging in unless you tell someone.

A supporter of mine is at a leadership camp or something like that n DC for a month and has a friend watching his team. The dope put it in a press announcement before leaving (which I told his team's babysitter to delete). Someone just scheduling friendlies and putting trainees in them isn't hurting anything. But if you get drunk and screw up, you can blame it on a friend doing it. And for that reason, they have to outlaw it. It's just a nice and simple rule with no grey areas at all, and it makes it a helluva lot easier on the GMs.

I was gonna change the sock color for AE's team to puke orange.
