Hi everyone,
The blood bank in Boston is very low right now. It is at insufficent levels for many types and all forms (ie. platelettes, red blood cells, white blood cell).

I was asked to contact my friends to ask for donators, I figured I'd make a thread and urge everyone to try and donate as soon as possible.
Here's a link to Massachusetts' donor centers.

Sorry, I don't do needles :(
(one of the reasons I haven't had a check up in five years, I am extremely needle-phobic.. I'm allergic to pain :( )

You & I appear to have something in common --
we even use the exact same phrase to describe it.

which, needle-phobic or allergic to pain?
(and yes, considering the events of last october, that's HIGHLY ironic that I'm scared of needles.. considering what I put my hands through)

India mon- a month or so. They wouldnt let me give blood after 9/11, because I'd left the country- I sincierly doubt they would now. Trust me on this one- its one of those "at risK" countries according to the powers that be.

Giving blood is relatively quick and painless. It's not a booster shot, you'll barely feel a thing. Look the other way and you won't even know what's happening.
Suck it up, ladies.

FWIW, blood supplies are low all over the country. Here in Central Illinois the red cross is struggling with the low blood supply.
