A bit of news:
A sequel to the popular Neverwinter Nights RPG was revealed today by Atari. Unlike the original game, Neverwinter Nights 2 is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, led by famed Fallout developer Feargus Urquhart. It's also the same company working on Knights of the Old Republic 2, making this its second sequel in the works for one of BioWare's titles. The original Neverwinter Nights was set in the world of the latest Dungeons & Dragons rules edition, and this sequel will likely continue on that legacy, but with an enhanced single player experience, greater character growth, and improved modification tools (which proved so popular with the pen & paper style gaming of the original). Very few other details were released in today's announcement, and the game isn't expected to be completed until at least 2006.
