I suspect you should clarify if it's the kind of feeling that is preventing you from finding somebody else, or if it's the kind of love you'll always carry with you whether or not you ever see them again (suppose this could be more akin to happy memories over what you had, and willing to open that door again if the opportunity presented itself), but still able to find happiness and love with someobdy else.

Hell, my gradeschool sweetheart still gives me butterflies everytime i see her, and she's pushin 2 bills, but i still remember how much i loved her at one point.
