Apparently if you opened a PayPal account between October 1, 1999 and January 31, 2004 and are a resident of the US (and a few other countries) you are entitled to file a claim for reimbursement of a class action lawsuit Paypal lost.

There are several different claim forms depending on your situation. I didn't have the problems that won the suit but since I still qualify, I'll fill it out and mail it in. Hopefully I will get the cost of the stamp back. :)

I got one. It said Ben E Lou owed me a rebate. Evidently, those are not things he knows at all.

(i) experienced or reported to PayPal an unauthorized or incorrect electronic transfer to or from their PayPal account including, without limitation, electronic transfers initiated by (a) you ; (b) PayPal in connection with, among other things, chargebacks, refunds, buyer complaints, PayPal's Seller Protection Policy, Buyer Complaint Process and/or Buyer Protection Policy; or (c) any third party;

Paypal messed up the amount of funds you or they transferred in any way through those above things. Most of the things have to do with when you submit a claim to PayPal because a seller scammed you.

(ii) had access to your PayPal account improperly, incorrectly or erroneously limited or restricted, in whole or in part; or

I really don't know what this means but it sounds like having trouble logging in to your account when you havent been banned or "put in the penalty box"

iii) made a request for information in connection with PayPal's restriction or limitation of your PayPal account or regarding an incorrect or unauthorized electronic transfer to which PayPal did not respond at all or did not respond to your satisfaction

If you were "in the penalty box" or banned and asked PayPal why and PayPal did not answer or answer completely.

None of these things happened to me, so I filled out the Statutory Damage Claim sheet. You print it out and then mail it by snail mail to the address.
