why is this so slow?

so, i just wiped my comp clean...and now, certain webpages take FOREVER to load for no reason. the one i notice the most is cbs.sportsline.com. is this usually slow, or am i unlucky? anyone have any ideas what i can do to speed it up?

im on a hi-speed cable connection if that helps. and the comp is decent enough. its just certain pages. thanks guys.

the only way to really do that is to reinstall the OS.

if you are having problems with just certain pages, it's possible it's a routing issue - I get that from time to time, where some sites are slow for a bit. FWIW, CBS sportsline came up just fine for me.

You might have had a lot of the stuff cached. Now that you wiped it clean, you have to redownload all of that stuff (images on the site, etc.)
