Kickers are contemplating a training switch next season, scoring, wingers, and pm are the choices.

I pulled this guy:

Johnson Stanford
TSI = 1 630 , 17 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities

Stamina: poor Keeper: passable
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous
Winger: wretched Defending: disastrous
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: disastrous

very trainable,

which means I would have to sell this guy:

Reuben Montgomery
TSI = 11 840 , 19 years, solid form
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities

Stamina: wretched Keeper: formidable
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous
Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: weak

but, he is about 1 or 2 weeks away from outstanding.
If I waited, he might net me about 600-800k more.

TPE is 1,250,000, I'd probably start him at 1.5 million

Opinions?

Wait until he hits outstanding.
He will likely net you more, especially with the end of the season being all that much closer.

What level is your coach? I imagine that training PM & Scoring are more difficult with a coach that isn't solid (or excellent), since even with a solid coach, a 17 yo normally takes 7-8 weeks to pop. Timed properly, you'd get at most 2 pops per season out of trainees.

Winger I think takes 5ish, but I'm still not sold on the winger training idea unless they have great PM and passing already.

I'm still afraid of the 3-4-3 commonly used by scoring trainers, so I guess if it were me, I'd go with PM. Plus, with PM training you get 6 full trainees and 4 "half" trainees so you get a little more bang for the training buck.

Of course, I'm locked in my training for another season :p so I might not be the one to ask. :D

I have a solid/weak coach.

The player I pulled, I could get to solid before EOTS.

17-18 yr olds take 5 weeks to pop for keeper, this is how I map it out.

Get my formid. to outstand. Sell
Week 10 train 17 yr old, solid by week 14.
New season, excellent by week 3, plus 15 and 16 of previous season.
Week 8, formid.
Week 13, outstand.
New season, now 19, trained in 14,15,16 of previous, week 3 brilliant
Week 9, magnificent
Week 15, world class
New season, now 20, trained in 16, week 6 super nat.
Week 12 titanic
Then sell.

It could happen.

Some parts of original have been editted.

Not necessarily. My 19yo went from outstanding to brilliant in 5 weeks with a passable coach. It is highly fluctual on the amount of actual time it takes.

Honestly, I'd sell the 17 passable you just pulled and keep training the formid and magni. Then next season sell the one who's currently magni to fund your training change and keep the guy who's currently formidable.
