And, the bounty still stands. If you knock me out before we're in the money, and you finish in the money, I'll match what you win.

I would love to play, but I don't get paid for another two or three weeks. If I can scrounge up the $50 to deposit, I'll join you guys. But...I may have to hold off, once again. It stinks, since I'm hitting a nice run in tourney play (yesterday, played four tourneys, finished 130th out of 900 at FT, 190th out of 7,976 at Stars, 358th out of 6,000 at Stars, and 11th out of 900 on FT...it was a good day, just from a solid poker outing standpoint).

That said, I hope I find a $50 on the street. ;)

bump...

and a bad beat story. I was in a $25+2 sit'n'go at PS. I entered the pot with a A8s (diamonds). Two others were there to see the flop with me. The flop was outstanding. 9 10 J of diamonds. Nut flush, plus open ended straight flush draw. I decide to slowplay, and put out twice what the ante was. Next guy calls, but the final player goes all in. I call, and the other guy folds.

His cards, yep, you guessed it. KQs, diamonds. Ugh.

I'll take out my frustrations on my fellow FOFCers tomorrow night.

Got to wait 48 hours before you can withdrawl money after a deposit...

Yes, you should. It might depend on what you use. If you use NETeller, then yes, since their min. for withdraw is $5. (EDIT: But looks like you'll have to wait a few days after what TLK just said.)

kinda...

The bounty on me is I match what you win if you knock me out. Someone else had the $5 bounty.

The fine print (gotchas) is the bounty is only valid before we're in the money. So if the tourney pays 4 places, I have to finish 5 or worse, and you have to finish 4th or better for the bounty to be paid.

Make sense?

This was my first action except for .5/1 ring and 10+1 sit and go at Party and some very casual house games. Any hints y'all can give me based on your observations? Any complete bonehead plays that caused you to curse my (almost) success even more? Any observations are welcome.

I got really good cards tonight (AA two or three times and KK twice). That won't keep happening, and I'd like to use these games to bone up my skills as much as possible.

I think we were probably both destined to go all in on that one. If an ace flopped I'm not sure what I would have done, if the flop was Q-high you would have destroyed me. I was terrified you had AA, and I've busted out of the last few tournaments 2 or 3 out of the money going for first instead of trying to sneak in the money, I probably would have backed off if an A fell, but aside from that I was probably going all in.

this tourney is a way better deal (if you didnt know i have been watching you ct)

whsox21 got 70th out of the 2000 or so in a 3+0, and... got $11 dollars. Comparative to this out of 1000, if you get 35th, you're going home with $141.

$10,000,000 for first. If you get first I'll pay you back all your losses to me for a simple G.

I'll never understand why people give away free cards when they have a high pair. I've been given great hands from people who try to slow play a pair.

AA is the one hand I will let cards come out, because hopefully I want one guy to catch a high pair, and start betting me.. no use of raising, everyone folds pre-flop and you waste your AA on the blinds.

Same Here, with a A or K on the board, I wasn't going to risk it, but really.. I wish I had thought it out, after the all in, if I'm representing Queens, Kings, or Aces with that board, what are you saying with that all in re-raise? That you STILL have me beat?

cthomer5000

That is a fantastic way to lose all your money.

SirFozzie
08-30-2004, 10:59 AM
agreed. you need to push SLIGHTLY with AA pre flop, and get rid of the suited connectors, and the like. When the flop comes, assuming it's not a scary flop (ie, a pair on the board, or all suited), you gotta push stronger.. you cannot give people free shots to make a set or a straight, etcetera

MJ4H
08-30-2004, 12:12 PM
AA and AK are commonly BADLY misplayed. A nice source of my profits, I'd say. AK is overplayed so often it is almost comical (one guy recently gave me all his money trying to run me off of my set of nines for instance).

With AA you can't treat it like it's a full house. It's just one pair. Yes you are best preflop every time, but that may not last, especially multi-way.
