Hattrick 7 year anniversary
It is that time of year again. It is time to mark another year in the calendar. Today, 30th of August, it is seven years ago since the first Hattrick games were played. Hattrick has since the launch grown enormously. It will be an interesting task for us (the community and the HT-team) to develop the game so that it still attracts new users, and that old users will find it fun to log in and watch the games.
For those of you suffering from a mild touch of nostalgia, check out the museum (http://www.hattrick.org/museum).
Traditionally, we've celebrated the anniversary by releasing new features. This year, everything is as usual. A couple of new features for all, and a couple of new features for those of you who are Supporters. The features for Supporter are denominated Supporter 7.
For everyone
Old league tables
Ever wondered how your league ended after that exciting game two seasons ago? Now you can review the standings in the league for past seasons. Just hit "Old league tables" and marvel at how close you were winning that league.
Simplified match orders
To help you laying out the correct tactics for your team, you can now copy old line-ups from past matches. Up to the ten latest line-ups are available for selection. This makes it possible to have two different line-ups to change between league games and friendly games, for instance. Or to reuse that winning line-up vs the league leader four matches ago.
Supporter 7
Challenge Opt-Out
It is now possible to opt-out from being challenged. Go to the challenges-page, and select your choice. The default option is of course opt-in.
Conference statistics
We've added some statistics of the conference usage. Now you can find out which conference that attracts most discussion-eager managers.
Federation updates
Two things have been added to the federations to improve information within the federation. First of all, those with the appropriate rights can write rules specific for the federation. Secondly, events in the federation are shown, similarily to the team events. We hope that for large federations this will make it easier to get a grip of things.
Reminder changes
Previously you have only been able to get reminders by e-mail or SMS. We've now added the possibility to get the delivered via HT-mail. Also, when adding a reminder for transferlisted players, the suggested reminder time is DeadLine - 10 minutes, so you have plenty of time to bid on that perfect player.
Bookmark texts
You can add short texts to your bookmarks in order to remember why you saved that bookmark in the first place. Perfect for those of us with a declining memory capability.
Conferences: Ignore users
Next to each user's name in the conferences, you can click an icon to select if you want to ignore the user on the conferences. This means that all postings that this user do is hidden from you, but marked in the thread and with a link for you to see the entire message if you want to. There's also of course the possibility to stop ignoring a user.
Guestbook comments
Finally, it's possible to comment entries in your guestbook, a much longed for feature.
The future
In the near future, we will make some changes to the interface to help new players getting into the game. Otherwise than that, new stuff happen when they happen. It's like the great anticipation before Christmas, except that Christmas in Hattrick happens a bit more randomly.
