Well, I figure it's not too early to start talking Vikings v. Cowboys.

And it good news on the topic, it looks like Onterrio Smith will be able to play in week 1. :)

Mrs. Franklinnoble is a lifelong Vikes fan, born in Minneapolis.

I'm a lifelong Redskins fan, born in Washington, D.C.

Jeebs, I love ya, man, but I hope your Cowboys get pounded like Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption.

Damn, Darren Woodson is going to miss the first six weeks of the season and Pete Hunter was named starting corner opposite Newman.

Or secondary is gonna suX0r this year... :(

Jeebs, have you heard anything about whether Nathan Jones out of Rutgers will make the roster?

Hmmm...he's on the roster shown on DallasCowboys.com, but that's a 70 man roster. He's also listed as second on the depth chart at right corner behind Pete Hunter, so that's a good sign...

Thanks Jeebs, reports from the Rutgers game yesterday, were that he was on the sidelines in Cowboys garb. Hopefully that's a good sign of his chances.

Dola-

Found the following article:
http://www.dallascowboys.com/news_camp_notes.cfm?id=C6AAEFD3-F7F4-4807-6BDC8F06542E9CE0

It looks like it's still up in the air, but with Zuriel Smith being released, and the fact that Jones was a very good KR at Rutgers, that he might be in the mix.

Bastard! He said he was going to smoke a bowl with me and play some Bond on PS2 next week!

Nate Jones survived the cut to 53, but I'm sure the Cowboys are going to be scouring the waiver wire looking for a veteran CB. Hopefully he'll make it through the next week...

Sorry, Jeebs. This one is about over.

That dancing by Campbell and Smith might have been worth fifteen yards.

I was wrong.

The Cowboys got pounded, but it was more like Ving Rhames in Pulp Fiction.

Sigh...not only did we lose but the Foreskins also won. Made for a bad, bad week of football... :(

Get used to it.

No offense, but Parcells is off his rocker if he thinks his offense is going to be worth a damn this year... and obviously the defense isn't scaring anybody right now.

Dear God, it was good to see the Redskins play solid, disciplined football. They actually looked like a group of cohesive, organized, well-coached, and well-prepared athletes on Sunday. That hasn't happened since, well, the last time Gibbs was the coach.

Once Julius Jones gets off his pansy ass and starts running the ball the offense will be fine. Eddie George is not going to be the feature back on this team for long...

Vinny showed yesterday that he can still play. He's not the most mobile QB around, but he's still got an arm.

Now Mike Zimmer just needs to fix that broken D. Easier said than done with Woody out and Pete starting, though...

I know that it was against the Vikings (and a still questionable defense), but I thought Vinny and the Dallas offense looked pretty decent.

The Dallas secondary is horrid and there was little pass rush.

Agreed. I'd even go so far as to say good. Whether that will continue and whether the defense can figure out what the heck is wrong... who knows...
