TCY: Player Ratings and Scouting

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I failed to find an answer in the forum thus far....

How accurate are the ratings for your team's roster? I know some scouts are better at certain positions, but are they really accurate when it comes down to it? And does anyone have any feedback on how they name their starters? I thought about using a ratings analysis, or should I simply trust my scout's ability at judging talent?
