Astoria Heroes, of IHOF, again have the #1 overall pick in the draft. This time we're gonna use it rather than trade it. (http://www.fof-ihof.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2307)

September 7th, Madison Square Garden, New York (Imaginairy Press)

Representatives of 32 teams, international media, league vultures and a handful of prospects have gathered for the 2006 rookie selection ceremonies. IHOF League commisionair VPI97 enters the hall and applaus arises. The efforts the commish makes to keep the league going are recognized with a lot of respect, translated to the noise of hands hitting eachother.

"Welcome," the commish starts his speech "we gathered here all for another milestone in the IHOF, the 2006 amateur draft". The commish continues his speech and after about two minutes, he ain't a man of much words, he points his finger to a big clock. Everybody knows what it means, the clock is set to fourteen hours and will be going back a minute every minute.

As everybody expected, the first team to select already have made up thier mind. The Astoria Heroes recently traded their injury plagued best player Cris Richardson to acquire the #2 pick in the draft. After that they traded their hyped star quarterback Julius Irvine to trade up to the highest spot in the selection order.

The IHOF Commish still stands on the platform as the Heroes' general manager Hell Atlantic enters the platform and whispers in the right ear of the commish. The commish looks shocked, but seems to understand what's going on and turns the microphone on. On a big screen hanging above the two men, people can see the behind the scenes area where all the top prospects are awaiting to hear their names called.

"Ladies and gentlemen. With the first pick in the 2006 IHOF draft, the Astoria Heroes have decided to select the best player in the draft. Please welcome to the podium, the college star out of Northwestern and best player of the 2006 class, Keith Horne!"

The Heroes made the right choice, they took the very best player in the draft, the one with the most impressive combine and the highest grades. With Horne, the Heroes go for quality, like they proclaim to go for. They now have a great prospect who is elite at his position, but can also play as a holder. Now, the Heroes have a guy who can make a big difference in the field position of the opponent when possession is turned over. Horne is arguable and by far the best punter the IHOF will ever see.

That punter is going to re-define the game.
