I just know that this is the year that The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame will
hoist The Natl. Champ BCS trophy. It's going to be a great year with Brady Quinn leading the team and Rhema Mc Knight and Ryan Grant Catching passes and running up the defense's throats. It's gonna be an exciting year ad Irish Eyes are watching.

ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK??!!

If you truly think this, when BYU held them to 11 yards rushing you have another thing coming.

Both teams looked horrible Saturday night, and I am a BYU fan.

BYU has a fragile but talented QB with Beck, Berry sucks ass. If we didn't have those 2 playmakers at WR we lose a horrible game.

BTW, when your team double teams a WR all night, and he still manages 115 yards receiving. Something is wrong with your DB's.

Sorry, won't happen this year.

Last night's game was one of those games that you want to end in a 0-0 tie...

Did ND lose their deal with NBC?

I may be wrong, but I could swear that game was on ESPN.

NBC only carries ND's home games.

Last night's game may have been a let down. But its better those kinks be seen so they can adjust prior to next weeks rivalry game versus Michigan.Notre Dame will shake down the thunder then,,,,'''

It was aired on ESPN2. It wasn't supposed to be aired, the Minnesota-Toledo matchup was supposed to be. I guess they'll just have to score triple digits against I-AA Illinois State next week to earn some respect. http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Ugh. I am a newly-minted Notre Dame fan (by scholastic association), and I refuse to engage in such blue-and-gold-glasses talk. At this point, I'm mainly looking forward to the tailgate next week. :p

How much are tickets running for next weeks game? I probably can't afford it. Oh well guess I'll settle for the UNLV game.

I have no idea how much tickets are going for. I have tickets myself, and if I were to attempt a transaction, it would probably be within the department at face value.

Notre Dame just looked horrible the other night (which I love). Is Notre Dame really playing Michigan this week? I'm not as much into college as the nfl but I watched Michigan with their true freshman Henne (I think I have his name right), and I watched Notre Dame with Quinn. Quinn didn't look to have much promise to me. BYU's pass rush had him throwing poorly all game long. That may not be all the qb's fault but his decision making wasn't very good.

Michigan 40 Notre Dame 10

Ughhh. There's no secret I'm big Notre Dame shill, but there's no way I can sugar coat this one. I think we're in for another long season. I just don't get this team's offense. Man, I wish Deidrich would have gotten the Stanford job. I almost long for the days of Kevin Rogers and the deliberate stiff-arm hand-off.

It's not talent. There is top 25 talent on that team. It's scheming, motivation, and execution. That boils down to coaching. Which I hate to say because I really respect Tyrone Willingham. But I think his players have bought int too strongly to his stoic demeanor. There is no fire and hasn't been since Boston College in 02.

indoorsoccersim, you're right. There is something wrong with ND's db's. You are wrong, however, if you think BYU is going to be a bad team. This may come as a surprise to some BYU fans but there are actually teams that win games with defense. While I was horrified by Saturday's showing by the Irish, the old defensive player and coach in me found some enjoyment watching your 3-3-5 schemes confuse the heck out of ND. (Not that that's hard) I loved the shots of your DC on the sideline. He's intense and seems to thrive on aggression. BYU fans may not get to watch their team race their opponents to 50 points any more these days, but if they can keep that guy (The BCS will surely come calling him) you should learn to love a good defensive thrashing.
