Just watched The Thing last night, is there not a more depressing ending to a horror movie.
Carpenter really liked working with Kurt Russell a lot.

It was a terrible movie - but as terrible movies go, it was fabulous.

Saw it on the basis of a damn fine trailer. Only after watching did I realise that all the good parts were in the trailer. I could have saved myself the money and watched the whole film in a minute and a half. Meh.

Who'd think that the Quaker Oats guy would be so damn scary?
It's a very good horror film, but not scary scary, just suspense filled.

Let me tell you, it scared the hell out of me when I was eight years old. Those poor dogs (and the dude's head, and the living blood) freaked me out something fierce...

More gross out than scary, Alien was scary. When the fullgrown alien pops out in the darkness to take Tom Skerritt, that was scary.

How could you say that about ''The Greatest Movie of all Times?''

I'll echo the positive statements. It's one of my all time favorite comedies.

Got Big Trouble in Little China for my VCR and watch it about once a month. Seriously. That and Road House are two of my movie staples.

I suppose I was trying to go for the backhanded compliment angle - nobody would confuse "Big Trouble in Little China" with "Citizen Kane", to be sure. But I consider it amongst the most entertaining cheezy films of all time.
