The comeback of the 1985 Chicago Bears doing the "Super Bowl Shuffle."
MPI Home Videos is releasing "The Super Bowl Shuffle 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition on DVD and VHS on Oct. 5.
The first rap song by a professional sports team was a sensation. The music video made the so-called Chicago Bears "Shufflin' Team" into celebrities beyond the football field.
The video was recorded by Bears' stars the year they put together one of the greatest seasons in NFL history, going 15-1 and winning the Super Bowl in a blowout. The team was composed of a unique bunch: punky, shades-wearing quarterback Jim McMahon, smooth Walter "Sweetness" Payton, William "The Refrigerator" Perry and "Samurai Mike" Singletary.
Special features for the 30-minute reissue include "The Making of Super Bowl Shuffle," with a behind-the-scenes look at the players between takes, and outtakes featuring Payton, McMahon and Singletary.
