Anyone know what channel the game is on? My Tivo hasn't updated and nothing shows up on the channel guide. Tennis and college football is all I see.

I was wondering the same thing. What kind of stupid shit is it to only show it locally? I would MUCH rather watch Illinois and UCLA

Well thank god CBS opted for Tennis, woohoo, I'd rather pour hot bacon grease on my nipples than watch tennis.

We discussed it another thread, but apparently CBS had no choice because of their tennis contract. It's not even on Sunday Ticket, apparently due to either contract issues or some sort of archaic FCC rule, depending on who you believe.

I'd love to be watching the game today, but this is an unusual situation and if this is the biggest impact that the hurricanes have on me, then I guess I should count my blessings.

I only will watch tennis if the dame is sexy...

...As for your nipples, you are a sick, sick man.

looking @ the gamecast it looks like miami is in for a LLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG year. They have as many first downs as they have thrown interceptions so far: 2. Chris Brown looks like a stud with a 100 yards 1st half.

100 yards on 16 carries. It would normally take George 35 carries to reach 100 yards at his pace. And McNair with a TD - yea for my fantasy team.

AJ Feeley to the rescue. The Phins pull Fiedler. Dave is gonna do everything in his power to win every game this year. He's 2 for 2 so far on this drive.

Lamar Gordon 10 carries for 22 yards, Travis Minor 5 carries for 25 yards

Right now I am VERY happy I picked up Brown as my 3rd running back in all of my fantasy leagues.

I second that, but I hope Lamar is just not used to this offense yet, b/c he's not looking too good. With numbers like that I can't see him getting all the carries next week like people have been predicting.

anyone see who lost that fumble for the Titans?

Sportsline lists Antoine Smith as the only player losing a fumble on the Titans.

Aaron Elling missed from 37 yards, no surprise there, but at least he made the XP. But where the hell did he learn to punt?

He could have probably beat out Bennett for that job.

I'm quite curious as well, since only one of my teams DOESN'T have Brown...

Dola - A little digging shows:

"Titans running back Chris Brown hurt his ankle on the 52-yard run but is probable to return."

From Rotoworld.

Brown is hurt. They took him out at the end of the first half, and the assumption seemed to be that he'd be OK for the second. But so far he's not seen any action. He is on the sidelines, and he's jogging around, but apparently he can't get the ankle to "loosen up" enough to come back in.

Holcomb is looking OK. Smith looked just terrible.

Yes, so would I. I'm glad it was on.

Oh...you were being sarcastic. :D

I, of course, am perfectly happy with UCLA, but that is disappointing that they couldn't regionalize their coverage.

Damn I wish I could watch this. I think that's probably for the best, actually. Why put him in again? Smith and Holcombe seem to be doing fine. No risk of further injury this way.

The sad part about the Dolphins imploding is that everyone will blame Ricky Williams for it and not Wannstedt.

The NFL can't play games on Friday or Saturday because of a federal law designed to protect college and high school football.

The NFL has had a gentleman's agreement with college football not to schedule Saturday games head-to-head, but it's nothing against the law.

There was nothing sinister about it. CBS has rights to the game. CBS has contractual obligations to the U.S. Open that supercede airing the moved NFL game. It certainly might have been possible for CBS to tell the U.S. Open to go screw themselves, but that wouldn't make a lot of sense to show one NFL game. I'm suprised it didn't end up on NFL Ticket, but that may have also something to do compete clauses with the U.S. Open or the availability of channel space on the satellite.
