What would you do? Sell him or build the team around him?

1. If you already train scoring, keep him. If he was just pulled, it is unfortunate that it is so late in the season. He will be a good player, but since it is so late in the season, he is more valuable to your training program than to anybody elses.

2. If you don't train scoring currently, don't change your training program just for this guy. Sell him and use the profits to either upgrade your team or buy a similar trainee that would fit into your program.

I agree with RH on that one. I pulled a 17yo solid winger/solid defender 3 seasons ago, around this time of the season. He sold for 600k U$ at the time and was just sold again for 3.55M U$, as a magnificent defender/solid winger. I received 78k U$ in mother club money for that sale...

I pulled him the first week of this season, and immediately switched to train scoring - he has had 12 weeks of scoring training so far, and jumped to solid four weeks ago.

I'd keep him then. If you've already made the commitment to training him, may as well continue. If he's had 12 weeks of training and he popped 4 weeks ago, you can expect that he will probably pop to excellent (depending on your offseason training regimen) prior to his 18th birthday.

He's a good keeper, I'd train him until he was at least 20 years old. Based on how I have my training schedules set up, he should pop to magnificent early in his 20 y/o season.

I thought the same thing the first time i read it. but i think he means keeper in that the player is a good candiate to keep from your youth pull system. or at least i hope thats what he meant ;)
