I guess i could just post an article here, but im too lazy to look it up. Anyways i walked by a dispenser and they had a sign saying that it was now 75 cents. Seems rather harsh to increase your price by 50 percent overnight, but whatever.

The price of not reporting news gets more expensive every day.

They have to pay for that ubiquitous new advertising campaign. Nothing makes me want to buy a newspaper than having its slogan read distractedly by a sports commentator!

Cant take USA Today serious for 75 cents when they dont even have comic strips. One or two political cartoons are not a comic section. I believe I have bought my last USA Today. (ok maybe not, but what do you read when you are stuck at the airport?)

USA today is like a whore you meet on vacation. Sure you'll run your hands all over it when you arent at home, but you'd never want it coming to your house on a daily basis.

That's gold.... only because it's so true....

Heh! Classic. I agree. The only time I ever read the USA Today is when it's given free at a hotel or when I am getting on a plane and want some mindless reading.

Do I really need to say it?

I always kind of liked USA Today. An abridged version of what is really going on.

However, USAToday hadn't raised prices in over 20 years. If you think about it that way it isn't surprising that they had to do it sometime. I guess 5 cents every 5 years would have been better?
