first let me say...hi, my name is saintjo, and im an hattrick addict. i admit it, im fine with it, lets move on :)

ok, if some of you remember about my real life. my company was bought out, blah blah blah, i had to interivew for my own job, blah blah blah, i got to keep my job, blah blah. ok, well we are going onto their network finally and apparently the love to block internet track. now i dont have a problem with that because i probably spend too much time on here anyway, but its not that they limit the usage, the completely block off particular sites that are not work related. i might start looking for a new job anyway because of other reasons, but in the meantime, im stuck with these guys and their block happy routers. on a side note, they now block stlcardinals.com because of me and my purchase of play off tickets today :)

anyway, how is life without 9am-5pm cst access to hattrick? i can get by without getting on these boards. it wont be as much fun, but i can get by.

but how much is not accessing hattrick.org during the day going to affect my team? the only real thing that is going to hurt is trying to find bargains for players on the transfer wire. i cant log on real quick at the time the thing ends and bid anymore. so i either have to bid a resonable price the night before, or restrict my bidding to evenings. how much harder is it going to be to find guys at these times?
also anything else im forgeting about that might be affected?

Well, your team is still relatively new. In my first couple of seasons, there was a ton of turnover among my players. But as your team becomes more established, there's less of a call to log in every day. You eventually get rid of all the fluff on your team and rely on training to make your team better. Myself, I log in basically every other day unless I'm looking to buy players but that's a lot more rare now. Also, I don't think bargains are as readily available now that there are regional markets so I don't think you miss out on as much.

Check hxxp://www.guardster.com (change xx for tt) it can save your life behind a company proxy. I work for the goberment from time to time as computers tech asistant and they have a proxy there too. You will only have problems surfing sites that use frames, and hattrick is one of them, but for other sites you want to surf, it will pass the proxy and will let you access them no matter how they ban that sites.

thanks for the proxy site. i think i can do emergency bids on my cell phone if i had to though and i bookmarked the player ahead of time. i have never tried it though. i watch games on my phone now anyway. and i have done my youth pull on it when i was on vacation, so i would think i could bid. searching would just be too hard on it though.
thanks for the help guys

That is why it is good to be a network admin like me.....you dont have to worry about your favorite sites being blocked. But in your case, sorry dude....if I was your admin and realized you were going to Hattrick I would allow a fellow HTer to log onto that site.
