View Full Version : TCY: Possible school switcheroo in latest patch?

Is it just me, or are UCLA and USC switched in the lastest TCY patch? I was comparing the permanent out-of-conference games that were chosen for the schools and I really didn't agree with UCLA-Notre Dame as a permanent game. I looked a little more closely and I noticed that USC's rival is listed as USC and UCLA's rival is listed as UCLA--so it looks like they were switched accidentally. It would seem an easy fix to go to the team name editor and just switch them back, but the overall team rating for USC (as is currently named in the game) is higher than than UCLA's--so it might be something that Jim might have to fix (if this is not an isolated case).

On a slightly related note, if there is a TCY2, I'd like the option of editing conference affiliation and choosing permanent out of conference games. I'll bet it's a real pain for Jim to have to chose the permanent OOC games, since it'll invariably involve trade-offs and weird pairings (e.g., Rutgers-BYU) that people won't agree with. I'm not sure how complicated it would be to implement it, but I'd love to be able to customize the schedules a little more.

FYI - Solecismic support e-mailed me back and they did find the error in the data file. They said it should be fixed soon...

I've fixed this. Since it's a data file problem, I'm not renumbering the game, but if you download the update again, it's there.

Alternatively, you can just take these files and slap them over your installation, if you're comfortable with unzipping and finding the installation on your own.
