I didn't know anything about this movie going in. NOTHING. One person told me "I heard it's supposed to be good." Didn't know if it was horror, comedy, nothing.
So the remnants of hurricane Jeanne hit NJ today, and it seemed a good time to go to the movies. I just went, didn't even really check times, and saw Shaun of the Dead was about to start, and popped in.
I can safely say this is the funniest movie I've ever seen in a theater. Perhaps it's because I didn't even know the plot, or perhaps it's because British humor has always been my thing (Monty Python, The Office, Mr. Bean...)
Anyway, I found the film to be GENIUS, and couldn't recommend it higher to anyone. Perhaps knowing as little about it as possible helped me enjoy it a lot more (I hate going in expecting to love something, it never seems to work).
So, don't read any more about this movie. I've already said too much. Just go.
