Remainder of the regular season, apparently, unless he appeals - which I hope he doesn't, because if he does, we'll be missing him for at least one playoff game, and that wouldn't be good.

I'm okay with the length of the suspension, so long as the inebriated asshole who threw the bottle in the first place gets brought up on a "disturbing the peace" charge, at minimum.

Dola,

ESPNews just ran a brief interview segment with Bradley. He's apparently not contesting the suspension (which, as I say, from a selfish perspective I hoped would happen so that we'd have him for the entire playoffs, but it's also just the right thing to do, period).

Above and beyond that, he apparently is going to be seeking anger management counseling, which I was glad to hear. I don't know if that came down from DePodesta/Tracy/MLB, or if that's something he's choosing to do on his own, but whichever the case, I'm glad to hear that he's going to try and do something about it.

This is when Bradley's gonna learn that actions mean more than words. What he said today isn't going to gloss over what he did last night. But what he does moving forward is going to speak volumes about the kind of man that he is, and the kind of man that he wants to be. Baseball aside, I hope he's sincere, and I hope he's successful.

Just another reason I'm glad the Tribe dumped him. He's LA's cancer now.

Shrug. Speaking as a Dodger fan, I'm glad he's here. I can't fault the guy for having a temper. I've got a temper problem myself. I'm just glad he isn't taking a "it doesn't matter because I'm Milton Bradley, bitch!" approach, and is instead saying "Yes, I have a problem, this has been a problem for a while, I need to do something about it, and this is what I'm going to do."

I don't see how you can call that a cancer. Whatever you may think of Bradley, "Operation Shutdown," this ain't.

Bradley's temper aside, I'm still glad he's gone. He didn't mesh well with Indians management or manager Eric Wedge, so I was glad he was dealt before things got worse. Shaprio's move wasn't heralded by Indians fans, but I believe that many, including me, were just glad to have him gone. No, he many not be a cancer to the Dodgers, but I didn't want him in my clubhouse as an Indians fan.

Maybe the lack of meshing had something to do with the temper problem he is now apparently trying to correct?

I never understood 'temper problems'. Why the hell does a person get that upset about something? Reminds me of my friend's dad. He was a bitter man. Got set off by the dumbest stuff...toys left in yard, taking our bikes apart, playing video games.

Oh, wait, he was a worthless drunk. I guess that means MB's a drunk. ;)

If teams with clubhouse cancers get to the playoffs it can't be too bad.

He should just report to jail and serve that 3 days jail term he needs to serve still

Exactly- he's actually one of my favorite Dodgers (as strange as that might be)- I think he's a guy who's gone through a lot, and dealt with a lot. And if someone threw a bottle at me , I sure as hell would be angry.

Yeah, those empy, plastic bottles would chap my ass too.

Seriously, what I saw on tv, and there were enough news stories about it, was a guy who flipped out and acted like a little crab ass. My 7 year old nephew does the same thing, but he has better aim and doesn't make a shitload of money to play a game.

Take in to account this plus the other crap he has done, and you got yourself a nice resume for the whiner of the year.

THREADJACK:

In other news, I am enjoying my new Judas Priest box set. That would explain the angst.

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. ;)
