Here's my situation.

I got promoted to a tough series, and currently have a 17K seat arena. I have 1439 supporters, and will have $1 809 761CDN after the economic update.

With the arena costs doubling next year, I was going to upgrade my arena to a "good run," which is about 43K seats in total.

Does this sound good, or would you improve the team first, and only upgrade the arena at season's end, provided I have the money?

I'd go to 30k and then worry about the rest near the season's end

if it were me, i would upgrade the stadium first to at least "good run". you are missing out on a lot of income having that small of a stadium and that many supporters. then use the income to help improve your team after a few home matches. it will pay for itself after 2 or 3 home matches easy.

But if he can't win then he is going to get bad attendence numbers

if he doesnt have income, he cant afford to buy players to win ;)

i agree, he needs to find some balance here. i didnt suggest spending all of him money on the stadium, but he needs to definatley upgrade it to a descent level. he should have enough left to buy an upgrades i would think.

An upgrade from 17k to 43k would cost him over $1.1M CDN (assmuing his 17k stadium was built correctly and his 26k addition would be too)

And upgrade to 30k would "only" cost $609K CDN which would leave him with alot more money to improve his team.

Yeah, I realize now I should've done a lesser upgrade. :( I will now only have around $600K....
