Anyone tried it ?

I am on the beta team so I had the opportunity to have a look at the game and I have to say this version is defintely improved from the previous one and is really enjoyable.
Of course, it won't compare to FOF which remains head and shoulders above the competition, but still : a very fine game in my opinion.
There are still some bugs/flows (I will report them this to Clay when I play a full session of Mogul, this WE hopefully) but I like the way this game has progressed and it is much more playable than the former Mogul.
If you want to share thoughts...

here is the link to the football mogul site. it says a free demo will be coming.

I remember trying the last version's free demo and I thought the game wasn't worth the time it took to download the game. hopefully the have significantly upgraded it.

I remember trying the last version's free demo and I thought the game wasn't worth the time it took to download the game. That is identical to my experience with that version. It will need to be *very* much improved. Frankly, from what I've seen from Sports Mogul lately, I have my serious doubts. Definitely a "wait-and-see" for me.

I miss dem Monkeys. :(

Is there actually a fullback this year, or are you starting two running backs again with no difference between them?

As long as stat tracking is deep and bug free It will be fine.

I miss dem Monkeys. :(Couldn't have said it better than you guys. The engine was just too whacky for me. If they fixed that, I may have a look at it...

looks likes it's fixed a little, however, still no FBs...(they are being counted in a RBs).

Have they finally implemented lefty/righty ratings yet? No wait - that's Baseball Mogul.

Looking at the screenshots gave me some bad flashbacks to my Baseball Mogul playing days years ago.

I miss dem Monkeys.

There were so many of them...

I, for one, got a heck of a lot of mileage out of the original Football Mogul, despite its rather dreadful limitations. Fortunately, my search for discussion on that game led me to FOF, and eventually FOF.com (before the "migration" to FOFC).

Even though the "career aspect" is rather shallow I'd rather spend my $$ on Action PC Football (http://www.dksports.com) atleast there is some football strategy and depth involved. Plus it is a nice head to head game for online.

Ditto. I was about to post almost exactly the same thing. I picked up Mogul at Wal-Mart, I think, way back when, and I played it for a long time, not even knowing that things could get better. Then, it led me to FOF. The rest, as they say, is history.
