View Full Version : Players Resisting Training?

I have been curious as to why one of my 19 year olds won't improve his stamina during stamina training. He has resisted the improvement twice despite playing both weeks in which the training occurred. He does have the special 'powerful' skill. Does 'powerful' also mean lazy? :)

maybe powerful means he is too fat to run sprints around the field? he just sits on the sidelines and bulks up on his "powerful"-ness by eating krispy kream donuts?

My French [A] teamer refused to move up from inadequate while my U20 wanabee Argentinian went up 2 levels from inad to solid...

FYI, for stamina training it doesn't matter who played that week.

I had a similar experience (but just 1 week). My 40+ yr old coach gained a stamina level while my 17 yr old did not! A couple of players jumped 2 notches. All in all, it seemed to average out to about 1 level per player per week but there appears to be some random element.

Do you have a large roster? I've heard rumors of Stamina training only boosting a percentage of your team, so if you have a bunch of random players 'soaking up' the stamina training, your main guys might not be as likely to receive the training.

Just something I've heard, and it wasn't from here...so that tells me that it might not be the most reliable thing in the world.

Roster was approx 23 to 26 players at time of stamina training. (not sure if that qualifies as "large")

My roster size was also about 25 players. I wonder if that might be the solution. That said I'm more inclined to think that [powerful] equals donut-eating, beer-drinking, lazy git. :-)

no..

sometimes it's dumb luck. i had a guy who wouldn't get stamina pops but now he's up to outstanding pm, and finally solid stamina.
