how long does chpp approval usually take? i submitted my program what seems like about a month ago with no comments yet.
also, remember if anyone needs server space for excel files or other programs to be shared, just send me an PM.

I don't know how long approval takes - but I do know that if your application is not approved, you will receive zero feedback, as if your application had dropped into a black hole...
Not the most client-friendly policy, methinks.

Saintjo, is this for the stats compiler you 've released before ? if so, I'll be interested again... :)

no, this is basically an email match viewer. you email
[email protected] (dont do it yet though, im not finished) during one of your matches and it returns the match results in an email. its basically for people that have hattrick locked out at work or would rather not log in and just use email. im hoping to maybe manager other aspects of your match via email, but thats probably a while off assuming they would even allow that.
i gave up on the stats maker officially. i have a web version now that displays my goals that im working on...

OK. I'll probably try that email addy once you've got it working...
Too bad about the stats maker... :(
That's a brilliant CHPP idea !
One question, how does that amazon thing work ? How much money do you get from that ?

ha, i see someone finally checked out my site ;)
i am an amazon "associate". basically i get a percentage of all sales that are a direct click through from my site. then after i earn a certain amount (around 10 bucks) i get a amazon gift certificate. there are ways to get paid directly though, but the increments amount goes up. i thought it would be a great alternative to making people pay for the service. that way i get some money to help offset my server costs and no body has to directly pay me if they dont want too. i just get money from them buying something they were going to anyway.
also an update on the program...
its an asp .net app that runs on a web server in a browser. i can get email, i can send email. but i havent gotten to writing the get match section. but i didnt have it layed out in pseudo code.
also, im noticing that some email sends take 1-3 seconds before the person gets their email, and other times it takes 1-3 hours. the app is sending it right away, but it looks like the email server i am using is getting back logged or something.
in the smtp protocol there is no guaranteed delivery time (nor delivery either :p)

yeah, i know, but thats pretty much my only option right now. unless someone has a better idea. pop3 can only get messages right?

not unless you are providing private mailboxes local to the server. Pop3 is only used for receiving email IIRC (it's been 7 years since my ISP days),
There's no way to speed email delivery because it could be your local server or the remote server and no way to really tell.
All the best,
tim
