I bought it about a week or two ago, and haven't had a chance to do much with it. I installed it, started the tutorial, then had to stop, because I was busy.

I'm in the same boat, but I haven't even had a chance to install it. The CD case just sits there on my desk, staring at me defiantly. :(

and a cool mod.....realism mod. makes it even cooler.


speaking of mods, i got rise and rule for Civ3...thats Pretty neat too.

They've already released a patch.


just for multiplayer and tweak elephant


but the speed is too fast still and the Computer AI is too easy..that what most people saying on the totalwar.com forum

Anyone try the Troy game. I was real curious about that one and wanted to hear first hand accounts before buying.

get the total realism mod....mods can make a 40$ game worth hundreds....like TCY, with Jim's version its a great $40 game. But with the addons its worth hundreds, IMO

Not terribly...I hadn't played the previous games either, but I bought RTW and am working my way through the Prologue scenario. It does a good job of introducing you to the game.

It actually has one of the more coherent and helpful manuals I've seen in recent years, although in terms of computer games that's not saying much.

And there are plenty of R:TW players at FOFC (myself included) who would be happy to answer any questions.
