ping: people who've had TPB for a couple of days

I realize there's a more general thread on this, but I wanted to ask you guys how the holy grail (The AI, the trade and salary cap AI and Free agent AI ) looks so far ? Im fairly convinced Im going to pick up this game some time in the next couple of days once I get some free time (by all accounts- seems like a great game) - I just want to make sure that the AI isnt FUBAR in general.

Trade AI is excellent. One of the better trade models I've seen in a text sim. In the 6 seasons I've played I've only seen a coulple deals that didn't make sense for one of the teams. But even those trades were far from one sided. Free agent AI is really good as well. There is a realistic amount of movement. I've seen players take less money just to get out of a bad situation and I've seen players on bad teams stay because they could offer more money.

The AI is easily one of the strengths of this game.

I *really* would like to see a top 3 team needs. :)


Edit: Aadik, get the game. I haven't read anything too out of line with TPB 2005. So far, the feedback has been good.... although FOFC just came back up. :p

Well, I'm liking the game to this point. I HATE hoops but I'm actually having fun playing this one. I'm only about 10-15 games into season 1 though.
