The deal is, 50,000 words in a month. Edit later, just write. It's interesting....and obviously bordering on insane.

I completed the task two years ago, when I was unemployed. Sad to say, it was lost in a hard drive crash.... oh well....

If I wasn't defending my master's thesis on December 1st, I'd be doing it this year. I think I'm going to try doing the writing in a month thing in January, after thesis is out of the way. I bought the book by Baty, the guy who started NaNoWriMo, and am really psyched to do it...if things go well or at least semi-well in January, I'll try next November. :)

This looks very interesting. I signed up for it. Doubtful that I will get it done, but I'll try. No idea what I'll write about. Probably fantasy, since it'd be easy to "make up" world rules as I go. :D

Dang! I wish I would have known about this before now. I think I may give it a go anyway. I have a couple of ideas that I want to commit to writing. And this is just stupid enough to get me to actually get something down on paper.

Here's my profile if anyone wants to follow along.

It has a excerpt of the story I'm writing. It's pretty bad. :)

I'm just making the story up as I go along. It's probably going to be the worst 50,000 word story ever written, but hey, I'm just doing it for fun. :)
