I was just reading some info at the hattrix website and when I got to the Experience section...the way your players gain experience kind of confused me.

"experience raising
based on counting 1 point for a league game...

friendly: 0.1 points
international friendly: 0.2 points ( its also an international friendly if a foreign team visits you at your stadium )
league: 1 point
cup: 2 points
national team: 3 points

after every match an experience update will take place.
every player that scored a goal, got injured or received a card gains the above points.
all other fielded players have a 33% chance to get 3 points. (i have to say that i am not 100% sure about that, see info link on top right)"

Why does the game choose to only give players who scored a goal...got injured or received a card to gain experience? How does getting injured or receiving a card automatically guarantee someone experience?

My other question is what do they mean by a player has 33% chance to get 3 points? Is this only in a national team game?

And approximately how many "points" must a player gain to go up a level in experience?

Experience seems to be a wishy washy thing. It varys greatly when he actually moves up in experience. Mine seem to average between 20-30 points for an experiece pop, however, my older players seem to take longer.

I guess that an event would warrant a gain in experience, showing that they were "involved" in the game. I am just guessing as to why injured and carded, but maybe it has something to do with learning from mistakes or training harder next time (see I really don't know.)

The other question is that the game randomly assigns players to gain experiece from the match. Not every player gains.

And no I don't think its only a national team game.

This is the best that I understand it.

Why does the game choose to only give players who scored a goal...got injured or received a card to gain experience? How does getting injured or receiving a card automatically guarantee someone experience? The stated reason is that they wanted to reduce post-match load on the database server. The guys with a goal/card/injury are already being updated, so adding on the experience update doesn't hurt anything.

My other question is what do they mean by a player has 33% chance to get 3 points? Is this only in a national team game? No, that's for non-national games, national team experience is guaranteed. The goal is to average the same total experience while not giving it to every player. It's also not necessarily 33% and 3 pts according to the HT team. It would be more accurate to say that there is a one in "n" chance of getting "n" times the base amount, where "n" is an unspecified number but probably not more than 4.

And approximately how many "points" must a player gain to go up a level in experience?I don't think anybody knows. A rough estimate is that it takes about a season for a player to gain experience, assuming a four or five week cup run.

Got some news for you guys, that goal/card/injury thing doesn't even seem to be true. I keep a close tab on the experience gain of my 4 players with inadequate experience, since you can see if the cost to make them a coach has dropped or not after they have played a game. Many times, including tonight for my striker Gilang Juanda who had 2 goals, some players have not had any gain in experience, despite either scoring a goal, or even being injured in the game. And that's not even only on friendlies, where you could argue that a player's goal may not update his player card, it's most of the time on league games...

I am now thinking that it is mostly random...
