This is my best youth pull in 2 years. Now what?

I could sell him. HAM says he is worth in the range of 983,000.

I could train him as a midfielder, this would involve selling one of my current trainees. Both trainees that I might sell are 19 and halfway to Outstanding neither is ready for first team football, so selling an older starter is really out of the question.

Or I could play him as a winger/mid(1/2 train) trainer, and reserve wingback. I have a slot open and he could be really turn out to be a great all around player.

Help! I am paralyzed with options. My YS has been so bad that the youth pull has been as exciting as picking my teeth.

If you don't train him 100%, he'll be wasted. Just my opinion. If I had an open training slot, I'd -gladly- buy him.

Train the guy, PM is best. First you'll need to get some stamina on him.

dola,

but if he goes on the market, I could be interested.

as a fellow PM trainer, I'd sell him and use the cash to upgrade somewhere else. I'd imagine you'll get a pretty penny from a D trainer.

He is crap. Fire Him Now ! ;)

To me, it somewhat depends on what you like in a trainee in regards to secondaries. If this guy is just what you would look for, keep him and train him. If not, I'd sell him and try to use the money to pick up exactly what you kind of a trainee you would like (when you have room for a new trainee).

That guy if sold to a trainer will pay dividends to you for years and years...we're halfway through the season, so you get almost eight weeks plus a qualifier (possible)...he's a walking money bank.

I'm a striker trainer so the answer would be easy for me.

Middies with defense just don't sell for nearly what one with passing gets you. I fail to see how both wing and defense will help a middie at any position (wing, wingback, or middie) unless you want to run an offensive wingback, I guess. Sell him to a defending trainee who can get more out of him and will give you more for him.

Yeah I say sell him as well...he's probably worth more to a defense trainer. Unless you'd be planning to play him as a defensive winger, but who the hell does that? :)

I think you should sell him so I don't play against him on Wednesday for our FOFC cup...

Vikas, he would be an offensive wingback :p

Vikas

If he needs an offensive wing back he's better off buying an experienced and better one with the money he can get for this guy, rather than wasting a 17yo with no training :p

The worst thing you could do to this youth pull is train him in a wingers slot. By the end of the season his value would plummet and you wouldn't get nearly as much for him as if you sold him now.

Sell him as a defender. This guy would make an awesome offensive wingback if trained properly.

Alright, so he is listed. I was kinda going in that general direction anyway, as I am not really ready to part with either of my 19yr olds, at least not until they hit outstanding.

He starts at 1,000,000.

Deadline: 12/2/2004 at 20.45 http://www19.hattrick.org/Common/images/ht_clock_003_16.gif (http://www19.hattrick.org/Common/reminder.asp?SendDate=04-12-02 20:35&ReminderText=Jeffrey++Jackson+%2848443432%29%0D%0ADeadline+04%2D12%2D02+20%3A45)

iirc, offensive wingback utilize wing attack and only an ounce of playmaking.

I can tell you that solid pm with inad passing and 17yo are going for $1mil given that I was trying to acquire a new trainee in that range.

I would keep him on the B team...

I mean i would train him PM.... I think he'd be damn valuable if trained to 18 or 19 and then sold to a winger trainer...

As blackout said, train and sell to a winger trainer would be a good bet as well.

That's odd. Your guy has no bids. I'd recomment putting out a transfer ad so more people can see it. Make sure to use the playerid tag so there's a link to him. If you've never done this before, go test it out in the FOFC Conference first because you only get one shot on the transfer wire board and it's permanent.

Well, he didn't sell last week, and I put him up again with the same pricetag, which I felt was more than fair. And with no bids on him still, I began to think about how he could remain with the team. Just about the time I felt I had a plan laid out I get this 2hrs before close:

bosnakspor.iNC raises for Jeffrey Jackson (http://www13.hattrick.org/Common/myHattrick.asp?actionType=showDetail&messageeventid=173236620)

followed by this

HellAngels_TeaM raises for Jeffrey Jackson (http://www13.hattrick.org/Common/myHattrick.asp?actionType=showDetail&messageeventid=173238925)

C'mon bidding war!

He sold for like 1.06mil. I hope he gets trained well.
