Youth Pull Stuff...just wondered

With the sale yesterday of my last YP, my costs have been met for the year for the $20k week charge. I was wondering how people fare in terms of % of seasons they have sold YPs for enough to cover said costs?

This is the 4th year in a row (no great streak, but I'll take it) FoG has made a profit overall from the Youth Squad. However, only once has the profit margin been anything to squeal about (for a team of my experience, anyway) with profit well over $2 million.

So what is your experience like and how much profit in a year constitutes a really good year?

I made a 10K profit one season. Every other season, including this one, has been a complete waste of money. I started back in season 18.

Last season I made about 200k, this season I've had only one sellable guy that sold for 20k.
My yps have not even payed for 1 week this season.

I didn't make a profit in the first 2 seasons but since then made a profit every season.

And if you count players still in the team (2 solid GKs, a possible future U-20 trainee) and 3 players trained and then sold (one for 1.5M), things have been good for me.

My profit up to date is around 800.000€. This is since i started to play HT, 4 seasons ago. The positive numbers started mainly last season, jumping this one.

I'm in the not having made a profit yet boat. I've not had a single sellable YP this season, though I had a couple last season that sold for ~50k but not enough of those to actually make a profit. Came close to breaking even last season, but missed. This season is looking very bleak, as well. Hopefully I'll get one or two that will sell in the back end of the season, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've done quite well. I think part of it has to do with my constant praise of the YP god. I think he appreciates the sentiments of "I thank you, O Great One, for this 19yo passable for even he will sell for $5K" rather than all the bitching that "I haven't gotten any lotto pulls (never mind that I've turned a profit every season except the first)" which you often hear in conferences.

i have always made a profit on youth pulls over the course of a season. now this is only my 4th season i think, but it seems definately worth it to me.

I've only been playing a couple of seasons, so this probably won't be very relevant for you, but my first full season I had one good sale of about $250k and that's about it (so about -70k). This season I've had a couple of sales totalling about $260k. My youth squad just hit excellent about a week or two ago.
