Sparked by a discussion on a tabletop gaming forum, I'm wondering if anybody around here might know more about this than we've been able to find.

It started with a question about an alleged little-known rule that allowed a quarterback to wipe a booger on the ball, as long as he didn't take a step before doing so. It initially stumped the panel until someone mentioned the phrase "snot pass". From there, two of us simultaneously found references to this in fag football, like from Univ. of San Francisco Intramural Fag Football Rules.

"SNOT PASS"
A player who catches any thrown ball containing the wiping of the nose of the man throwing said ball, may immediately return to the line of scrimmage and proceed to kick the ass of the passer, provided one does not take more than two steps after the catch is made before discovering the foreign object. If the ball touches the ground first, then the "snot pass" rule may NOT be called (as it may have come from the said ground.)
