For whatever reason I've had my starting SS cut in the middle of the season, not injured, just signed him to an extension the previous year.... and he's the #2 rated SS in the league... 85/86 rating. He was cut 9 games into the season and signed by another team.

Kinda quick simming through the season so I just noticed it, I've scouts handling signing to fill roster, but it still doesn't make much sense.


Anyone know why?


it will do that if you have scouts handling things in global options

it will do that if you have scouts handling things in global options

I've practically always played this way, and never had a starter cut - especially not a top rated starter, for no reason at all.

What other injuries did your team have? The scout may have had to cut him to clear cap room to bring in someone else to fill in at another position.

Hard to say now, have moved past that season, I guess that's a possibility... Just didn't make much sense to cut my top rated player 9 games into the season.
