I'm fairly confident I've got a handle on most of the things in the game, but the coaching area is one I'm still a little unsure about:

Does the HC have any effect on player development in FOF, and am I right in assuming that in the FOF world, the HC calls all plays?

The reason I ask is that from the highlighted attributes, it appears that the HC is purely responsible for team talks, keping people in line, play calling, and injuries: is this correct?

The other area is the Yound Talent attribute: I assume that this means that coaches with a high YT rating will accelerate rookies and young players development, but is the reverse true: are coaches with poor young talent rating by default good with veterans, and therefore can benefit them more than those focusing on YT?

Hope that makes sense - any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Scouts: Affects the perceived ratings of players. Sets depth chart if you have the global option set that way.

OC: Affects the development of offensive players & kickers.

DC: Affects the development of defensive players & kickers.

HC: ->

1. "Motivates" players. It's unclear how much of an impact this has.
2. Imposes "discipline". That's also unclear.
3. Calls all offensive and defensive plays unless you override this by calling your own plays.
4. Sets gameplans if you have that global option turned on.
5. Has an effect (a significant effect, it is thought) on how often folks get injured. Many FOF veterans believe that this is the single most important attribute for a HC.

I've never found this to be the case. Coordinators with low YT ratings just seem to never develop kids to their potential with any appreciable speed. Likewise (or conversely), a high YT rating doesn't negatively affect veteran players.
