FOF Re-signing coaches

I'm sure we've talked about this before, but I hate the fact that we can't renegotiate coaching contracts. I wonder how hard this would be to recode for the next version because it would make the staff side of things a lot easier. I HATE when I have a pretty good coach who ends up leaving me because I have no idea how to read the market on these guys. I would also like to be able to promote my OC or DC if the guy ends up leaving.

I'd also like the renegotiating and promoting of coaches to be present in a future release.

Promoting coordinators to be head coach would be cool, except doesn't the game pay attention to particular skills at the coordinator level (example: the "development" of players at the offensive or defensive positions) and totally separate skills at the head-coach level (example: motivation, play calling)? It seems like it does given the way it highlights the skills in red.

If that's the case, then often a guy who makes a great coordinator often makes a horrendously awful head coach (or vice versa). This is sometimes true in real life, but it seems to be the case much more often in FOF than in real life.

So while in real life you'd often want to promote a coordinator who's spent a few years in your system, FOF wouldn't seem to reward it anyway.
