You need to eat at Taco Smell less often. :D
Quite possibly you are near the supporter soft cap at your level where any hint of non-success absolutely destroys your support. If the loss was at home and/or a shutout, you'll probably also get thrashed for it.
Incidently, I was having a chat with sterling the other night where we were discussing this. I would really like to see attendance and support be more reliant on a 16-week success result with variance coming from immediate success or failure rather than the current format of being completely reliant of recent result. Meh.

Yeah, I, too, love a system which promotes sticking down in a lower level rather than competing where you should be.
Myself, I'm thinking there should really be a hard attendance cap at levels. Now before anyone gets in a tizzy about it, I'm talking about a reasonably high cap like say 45K for Div VI and V since that's 2 stadium expansions. But I'm tired of teams staying down, losing the last couple games of the season and sticking down because it's healthier for their team's finances. Why are there Div V teams getting 70K per week? If you have that many supporters, you are winning. A lot. And you should move up- not have your wages be supported by this flawed system. If you have a good enough team to win 13 of your 14 games every season, then it's time to go. Same with the higher division teams. If you're sticking in Div III, it should be a consideration that you can't get as much of a crowd so your wages get less supplemented.
And, yes, this is personal. I've got 1 loss and 1 tie in one of the nastiest Div IV's and I've had non-weather-influenced crowds in the 20s, 20s, and 30s this season. How in the hell does a team no lower than 3rd in Div IV only get 20K in a week?

I agree with you SI.... your kicking butt this season and still getting screwed with attendance. As for me... well im doing 'average' in my series and here is my attendance this season
28427
22395
15267
29398
25953
121k attendance in 5 home games for a team with almost 2000 supporters and in 4th place in a freaking brutal divison. I got WAY WAY better attendance 4 seasons ago in Divison V.
Thats why if i get 5th or 6th place this season im droping down to divison V. I never thought i'd say that but its in the best interest of my teams financial future. I've made almost no profit from attendance money in 2 seasons and don't even get me started about youth pulls.
