4-5-1??

I train midfield and currently run a 3-5-2 formation like most people do. I was giving thought to trying out a 4-5-1 towards the end of the season and was wondering if others had tried this out and if you could still get good offensive results with it? Or would you be giving up too much offense by reducing down to one striker?

I had good results with it, I mainly use it against good offenses.

But since I train wingers, I always have a good wing attack with it.

You really do give up a crazy amount of offense for losing one forward...

By merely dropping a brilliant forward my attack went from

The wing attacks seem way too reliant on forwards in HT.... The 4-5-1 CA still worked a couple times last season against some crappy attacks to manage 0-1 wins though.

Yeah I just got home and used HAM to compare the two and my ratings dropped just like your's did. Oh well...you always think up good ideas when you're at work...
