finally got around to depositing $50 in my PokerStars account today - I've moved up from the play money tables to the $.01/$.02 tables!
was a little nervous at first, and had to take a step back and regroup after the first couple of hands - mostly to adjust to the slightly different betting tendencies with real money. Before too long, I was up $3 or so, which I ended up whittling down to just 50 cents in the black (I lost a couple bucks on one hand, although really I think I made the right call, and would make that same bet again). Still, was happy to - essentially - break even on my first day.
and, despite all the people telling me so in advance, I was still surprised to find so many idiots in there just asking to take their money. Looking back at some of the bets people were making with the hands they had...yikes.
