I've been using the site for some time when I wanted to find something from the past but it never fails to amuse/amaze me. It is great to look up a site to see what it was like 2 years or 5 years ago.
I was using it to help me locate coach changes in the NFL from the last 10 years so I could come up with a "Coach Gets Fired" formula ( still a work in progress ) and, once I found one link, I found myself branching off to look at other links.
Here are a couple of fun links ( not all of the links from each page are "live" since not everything is archived )
FOFC ( Oct 2000 )
hxxp://web.archive.org/web/20001110145100/www.sportplanet.com/fof/
Yahoo ( Oct 96 )
hxxp://web.archive.org/web/19961017235908/http://www2.yahoo.com/
OOTP ( Oct 99 )
hxxp://web.archive.org/web/19991013073841/http://ootp.net/
FBB ( Jun 01 )
hxxp://web.archive.org/web/20010628063410/www.sportplanet.com/fbb/
Try some yourself.

haha. I had forgotten how lame sites like yahoo looked back in 1996. It's actually quite...remarkable how far things have come.

Nice find.
I remember that OOTP page way back then. I think there was like 10 or 15 guys that browsed the boards then. Things have changed.

I disagree (so what else is new?). Major sites today are so cluttered with useless, bandwidth hogging crap that it becomes unvisitable. The worse is ESPN by far. Solecismic still understands that getting to the content simply is best.
