I was looking to vote for the MVP of the season, and I came across a QB from Missouri. His stats weren't overly impressive. He was 89/136 for 1057 yards, 13 TD's and 4 INT's. I thought maybe he got injured or something and he somehow ended up on the list... Nope, he played all 11 games. So I click on his rushing stats, and they were as follows:

415-1998, 20 TD's. 181.6 ypg. 4.8 ypc. LG=93. and he was sacked 8 times for 46 yards, so he actually ran for 2044 yards on 407 carries.

Needless to say I voted for him... and he ended up 3rd.

I have to say, that was the most impressive QB I've ever seen.

Is Missouri running the Double Wing offense by chance? That always produces some amazing QB running totals.

Yeah, they ran the double wing last year, the first year of the system. Their OC is Terrific at play call and QB's, excellent at WR, and Pretty Good at RB.

Missouri has 5 players whose potential is 100, 20 who are 80 or better. The QB's strength is very long passing

I love running the double wing. The problem I've had with run and shoot is that if you recruit poorly for essential positions(QB, WR), the team sucks even worse than if you were running a more balanced offense. If I want passing, I usually go single back, it's a little safer.
