Veterans with high intelligence and leadership. I'm sure there is a more specific answer, but at the moment, that's all I can come up with :)

There is a thread in the reference sticky about what kind of players become mentors. Check it out and then I think it's the personality view of the rosters that show the leadership, intelligence, etc. You can see what players fit the criteria a little easier.

Mentors help players reach their potential and may even increase it. There are some good threads about them in the reference thread.

im looking for a QB mentor for my 2 young QBs and need a mentor. when looking at free agent qbs does it say in thier info screen "Mentor" or do i just look for players with high Leadership and Intell plus experience?

If they are mentors, it'll in the info screen, just under their agent name. I believe a player has to be a 5th year veteran before he can be categorised a mentor, although most are more experienced than this, and will always have 50+ in leadership & intelligence, again, usually at the upper end of these numbers

Dola,
Easiest way to find a FA QB mentor is sort the FA's by experience, then position, go to the top player on the list and look at the agent name: hit next to scroll through - the mentors are easy to spot as there is the extra line stating that they are mentors under the agent name.
I always try and find mentor QBs with high kick holding, so they are at least some direct use on the depth chart...

I run FOFExtractor and check the Mentor colum in the comma-delimited text file it spits out...
