IV.6
Once the laughing stock of D4 with 2 walkovers, has undergone some changes. Last season we finished with the #11 toghest division in all of 4, and would look to be in the top 10, with the exception of Ghetto Superstars, can now boast the biggest roster of FOFC players.
1. Almost abandon Ghetto Superstars from III.
2. Me, duh, MISFC
3. Griffs, a convert, and former IV.6 champ
4. Confederates
5. With a win tonight, Deacons.
6. High Tops, sorry, I am a moron.
6 teams, this ought to be an interesting year.
[edit]- In my defense I was slightly intoxicated.

He is a couple of weeks away from going WC. He is starting to get too old to continue to train, so I am thinking of selling him soon.

It was close. We each won our home game. We will meet in week 3 at your place, with both of us deciding about who to play in the cup vs league matches.

well, not quite as cool as 6 fofcers in the same series, my series has 8 supporters.

That would be cool too. I wish more people used supporter. Even though not everyone has supporter, we should still be a very active group.

If I can only find a way to beat the Xtreme (those non-conformists).

This will be an extremely clos series. Your team is kind of a wild card. Your middies can be good enough, D looks like your heel. With the amount of good attacking teams, this will be an uphill battle. Keep in mind, XTreme is a very good team. They find a way to win games they have no business winning.
Keep in mind We will have 4 teams that will average above a 200 Hatstats. You, the Deacons, and Xtremem all have elements that will help you win games, I would fully expect this to be another close year (5th -7th weren't decided until week 14, and there was just as much competition 2nd-4th).
I mean my prediction as no insult to you or your team, someone has got to be there. HT, MISFC, Jedi Knights are all too good to be there, I hope I am, Deacons were very impressive putting up 2 goals and 2 pks on a great keeper in the q-match, and Xtreme well, their middies will improve, they may even compete for first...
Good luck to all of the fofcers in iv.6, it should be a lot of fun!

I don't think that there is any way we are going to finish 2nd. 4th is much more likely.

No offense taken. My prediction coming in was that I would finish 8th - but I wasn't aware that we had a walkover team - so I would guess I'd finish 7th too.

Well, he has 9 players. His last 4 matches were walkovers, but he is not quite dead yet. In addition, if he doesn't log in anymore, he won't be reset until week 8, so...
anything can still happen.....technically speaking.

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=750 align=center bgColor=#ffffff border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width=610 height=273>I have this posted on my teams website, as well in our conference.
Ok, so I skipped this part last season, but now is the time to let it all hang out. My fearless predictions and analysis. There are 4 new teams in IV.6 and 4 teams that stayed with a real chance at the title. I have come up with a new rating index. It is a weighted system, based on a number of different variable and weighted against each other team in each category. The idea is that it should provide a number from which to compare each team, the number will also give an idea of the level that each team plays at as well. The new index is called the PilotMan Rating (PMR). The index is to be taken with a grain of salt however, as it will be perfect when all teams are active and competing each week. Since both Ghetto Superstars and Deacons do not fall into this category, the rating will be a bit skewed. Also this index is based on data at the end of last season. Any changes made since will not be included in the index. Here we go!
I have decided to list teams in the order of highest PMR first.
1. High Tops - (PMR 37 : Hatstats 201.6 : Stars 47.4)
HT finished second last season and are the odds on favorite to win it all this season. They transitioned to a 3-4-3 attacking offense and are forward trainers. This team will score lots of goals, but the question will be if they can hold the ball long enough to create chances. They had no trouble with this last season and I expect they will be one tough customer.
2. Griffs - (PMR 28.8 : Hatstats 190.6 : Stars 46.2)
An extremely unfortunate season led the Griffs to a scramble in the finish to avoid a demotion. They hung on and won the qualification match and now look to loom near the top of IV.6. This is a team trains wings and likes to run the 3-5-2. There has been mention of some offseason changes, but thus far none have taken place. I believe that Griffs are the best of the rest and not of the same caliber as HT, but they are good enough to challenge.
3. Midwest Ice Storm FC - (PMR 27.8 : Hatstats 192.1 : Stars 46.8)
This is us! We are almost clones of Griffs. We are a well rounded team that is in the middle of a rebuilding year. While we are still good, we are not nearly as good as we should be in a season or two. The team is very young and will need some time to mature. I am a midfielder trainer, and have a very pedestrian midfield, but it should improve. We like to play the 3-5-2, and usually have no problem scoring goals.
4. Deacons - (PMR 23.7 : Hatstats 157.4 : Stars 39.5)
Here they are in 4th, but if they had played all of their games last season all out how high would they be? They round out the second tier of teams within IV.6. Also a winger trainer, this team boasts a Romainian National teamer on the wing, and a very potent attack. Midfield is suspect as this teams bounces between 3-5-2 and 4-5-1 formations. They sit here in 4th, but could certaily be higher.
5. Ghetto Superstars - (PMR 20.5 : Hatstats 195.6 : Stars 46.5)
Had this team not sold almost all of their players and decided to quit they would be a force to be reckoned with. But since none of those things are true, there is really no point to scout them. A walkover, and an 8th place finish.
6. Xtreme FC - (PMR 16.7 : Hatstats 175.3 : Stars 41.5)
XFC surprised everyone again last season with a 4th place finish. They are midfield trainers with tough and strong midfield that they use to control the game. Although their attack looks weak it has been strong enough win games. Again, on paper, they do not look like serious contenders, but they have the intangible to win. How will they do? Who knows? They could compete for the title or they could end up with a qualification match. 5th place is the prediction here.
7. Jedi Knights FC - (PMR 15.2 : Hatstats 162.8 : Stars 40.2)
Knights are a team on the brink. They are as well rounded as any team in IV.6, just about a half a step behind, except midfield. They have the ability to control the game with their mid, and their offense id better than some. Defense could be their downfall as there are some very powerful attacking teams in this conference. On paper they are only a sniff behind XT, and we know how unpredictable XT is. They are mid trainers who run the 3-5-2. They like to run a wing to the middle for mid support. But will they keep people from running though their defense. 6th is the prediction here.
8. Confederates - (PMR 8.3 : Hatstats 144.6 : Stars 36.1)
Confederates have a lot of things going against them. And they are in a very tough, and competetive division. Their PMR is a full step lower than Jedi's. That means that at this time they really are not of the same caliber of team. Things could change, and bad luck can happen. They are mid trainers, but even their mid is the lowest of all the active teams in IV.6. On the bright side, if things continue, they should finish higher than Ghetto Superstars.
This is the way that I see it. If you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to contact me, or leave your own comments.

I think that you are correct in your analysis, I can easily see a couple of close games switching the standings. I still can't see how FORTE did as well as he did, and it killed to see he did not have that much interest in the results. I know Xtreme likes the role of the underdog, so he will like your prediction . Not looking forward to being the favorite and getting MOTS a couple of times.

3 weeks to go and it is a 2 horse race at the top.
Have any other FOFCers been following this heavily represented division. I have to say it has been the most fun that I have had in any hattrick season. I will hate to leave you all when I promote! ;)
FWIW, 3 of us made the top 16 in the FOFC Cup too.

Also, we look pretty good to return at least 4 FOFCers next season at the very least. THe winner of the series will be very close to autopromote, but if they have to play a qualifier, well, we haven't fared well at all. So we may even return 5.
