1/31/2005 Overpriced transfers
From now on there will be no exceptions from the rules about Fair Play on the transfer market in chapter 21:

"All bids should be in relevance to what could be considered reasonable for the player in question."

This means GMs no longer will approve any trades as overpriced transfers are not allowed.
Though it disappoints me (I've had two successful trades so far, and I think I'm going to like this recent one as much as I liked my last one), I think it's probably for the best. Just a pain for the GMs and such to police -- why allow something that is outside the rules?

Good thing we did our trade before this happened...

Seriously -- that would have sucked to wait for Branko to heal, only to find out we couldn't do it.

I know some of my seriesmates seemed a mighty upset about that transfer...I had to explain several times that it was a trade, and moreso that it happened before the deadline...but SHEESH, I thought there were going to be cheating accusations.http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif

After figuring out that "assisted trades" are legal I can't find a reason why I would want to make a trade now. If you don't have the money to bid straight away pick lower end prices for each player, list at a time the other person can be online 3 days from then, do the stair step deal to the decided price and be ready to compete, fairer and likely cheaper prices then an offical trade would have.
