Good to see Micheal Vick was in attendance to keep order, i seen him throw some things that actually connected with its target!

And as a result of the brawl being captured on tape, the administraion won't allow anyone to bring video equipment to school functions - including games - in the future.
Hehe. Yeah, that'll help stop the brawls http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

I'll take "treating the symptoms and not the disease" for $400, Alex?

Parents are also upset about security. Usually there's only one officer at a home game. The school hired an additional officer and Prattville Police sent two more. And the video shows four police officers at the game. But was that enough? Parents claim several students, including members of the girls basketball team, warned school officials the fight would happen.

I'm glad the parents are taking responsibility. It's not our fault our kids became violent, it's the police's fault for not having enough officers...

Ummm....I'm guessing it would be the parents of those who were not fighting who expressed that concern. If I were a parent of a student who warned school officials that a fight would happen, and my child was exposed to danger because a fight DID happen and there wasn't enough law enforcement there to contain it, I would have been pretty upset, too.

I have heard of fighting during a boy's game, but a girl's game? I am pretty sure this had nothing to do with basketball. If the police knew of an incdident before hand then they should have had more than just four cops there.

My senior year of high school we got into fight that was very much like that during one of our rival games. They had to call back-up and all of that. The next time we played there was about 50 cops there from all over the county.

Police = defuse a predetermined situation

Or they could have cancelled the game.

I thought it involved the players.

This was just some people at the game fighting each other, i wont call them fans becasue they obviously arent.

But this was rather typical, lots of punches thrown, nobody really injured.

Somebody should tell those chuckleheads that those are PLASTIC chairs. I get hit with those every Sunday in my kid's Sunday School. And I wouldn't give any of the cops the Medal of Bravery. There was a LOT of watching and not much interfering considering they had clubs, guns and, according to that news report, Tasers.
