Hmmm over the course of his speeches, he has mentioned Saddam 24 times, Osama only once.

I think the reason is that Saddam is/was the single identifying target we were out to get when it comes to Iraq. There are many different words that can address Al qaeda and/or terrorism. I mean I'm surprised that Osama hasn't gotten more play, but the uses of Al Qaeda and terror/terrorism.

I hope the problem is just that he can't pronounce it, not that he can't spell it.
