Okay...

This is my line up, (and I apologize for these sometimes rhetorical, sometimes inane postings).

Attack
Striker 1: Supernatural scoring/poor passing
Striker 2: Formidable scoring/solid passing
Striker 3: Formidable scoring/solid passing

Midfield
Winger (towards middle): Outstanding Playmaking/Inadequate Wing (passable experience)
Inner Mid #1: excellent stamina/supernatural PM/2ndary skills all poor
Inner Mid #2 (offensive): excellent stamina/outstanding PM/inadequate passing
Inner Mid #3: excellent stamina/brilliant PM/weak defense and wing

Defense

Offensive CD#1:excellent stamina/brilliant PM/inadequate defense
Offensive CD#2:excellent stamina/outstanding PM/excellent defense
Wingback Defensive:passable stamina/solid passing/solid defense

Keeper

Keeper: outstanding

Result with an away game at normal

Ultra Nox
Player rating and Team formation
Team Attitude: Normal
Tactic: Attack in the middle
Tactic skill: formidable

Midfield: passable (very low)
Right Side Defence: poor (low)
Central Defence: inadequate (low)
Left Side Defence: inadequate (very high)
Right Side Attack: weak (very low)
Central Attack: solid (low)
Left Side Attack: weak (low)

I held possession at 63 percent for both halfs, and still lost 3-0. This isn't a WTF as the team I played against was a good counterattacks team. I'm assuming because of the lack of defensive skill, that would result in a pourous defense, but to not even score once?!?

Match ID: 36853156

I read only two attempts by my team on attack. And my team's spirit is composed. I will not that the opposing team seemed overconfident.

As for a question as to why I didn't play both brilliants in position is simply because Offensive Middie is at a really good form right now.

My question is do I press onward? Or do I sell off some of my midfielders to upgrade? Try to grab another offensive central defender to bolster the defense but also to contribute to the overall midfield. I would have to sell one of the midfielders as my youth squad is set now.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

If I were you I'd adbandon OCD's all together and replace them with normal defenders without playmaking. Use the extra cash you get from their sale to upgrade your brilliant and outstanding inner midfielders. I'd also think about not playing that WTM and buying a pure winger. Your wing attacks are very poor and makes your offense one sided. If you sell your two OCD and your WTM you could probably upgrade 2 inner midfielders, buy a winger, and upgrade your keeper. You'd probably lose a level or two in the midfield, but your defense would gain a lot of strength and one of your wing attacks would be up to par with your central attack making your opponent guess at too which side he needs to defend a wing attack on.

I'm as big a fan as you'll see of the OCD but two of them on your team with that high of playmaking and next to no defense is a scary proposition. I think you'd be better served to sell the bril pm/inad def (or put in at your midfield). Use that cash to upgrade the defensive wingback slot and I'm not sure what else. I also like the idea of a pure winger so that you have 2 strong attack so they can't just stack the middle against you. That said, you're then dropping a bunch of midfield so does that put you at a serious disadvantage to your seriesmates?

I think that it does...this team is a solidly stacked defensive team, they beat me with a 2-3-5. That may be my own blunder at coaching, and I'll take that responsibility. However...I'm facing soon two very solid midfield teams, and I'm very much of the "go for broke" mentality.

I did like the idea of a pure winger to boost the attack, but I'm concerned about losing possession.

I suppose I could sell off a chunk of the midfielders for another supernatural midfielder, but I highly doubt that I could then upgrade wing.

Probably a season or two away again from contention.

I have put four players up for transfer...I'm going to keep one OCD simply because I just purchased him, and secondly because he's an upgrade at defense (the excellent defense tops all my solids).

I'll seriously look into acquiring an offensive winger, and maybe a pure defender. And I'll go from there.

Thanks
