View Full Version : Nose Cauterization
Has anyone ever had this done to stop bleeding noses?
My wife has this done last week. She is now in constant pain running from the point of cauterization down into her tooth.
Anybody ever heard of this?

I had this done, exactly to stop some recurrent nose bleeding, but that was many years ago, when I was 18 or 20. Didn't have pain afterward though, so I don' think I'm much help, sorry...

She definetly needs to go back in, that is not normal. I had a burn sensation for maybe a day.

I've never seen it done, but remember reading about it. It is not normal to have pain afterwards for more than 24-48 hours. I highly recommend she return for follow-up ASAP.

I had it done twice. The first time was when I was 14 or 15. That time it hurt like hell for a few days afterwards.
They must not have done it right because 6 years later, I had it done again. The second time, the pain was just a heavy pressure for the 3 hours afterwards. The next day I was fine. I don't know if there are a couple of procedures cause the first time there was scabbing from the 'burn'. The second time, it wasn't really a burn that I felt. No scabbing after the second time either.
mmmm...scabbing. Time to throw in a Jack's sausage pizza.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the after-effects of bbor, some Taco Bell, and whoever was unfortunate enough to be around shortly after her ate the Taco Bell.
